What makes our organization unique is the tight-knit community we foster with our scholars, their families, our team members, and committed volunteers, creating a Network of support that cultivates their personal growth and development in all areas of their lives. As a volunteer, you will have the opportunity to share in a virtual or face-to-face way. Esperanza Juvenil’s doors are always open to you! f you’re interested in one of the following, fill out our volunteer form so that we can learn more about you!
WAYS TO CONNECT & SERVE
TUTOR/MENTOR
Through a one-on-one relationship, mentors assist with academics, and life-skills development, and share experiences and expertise, while modeling positive values. We always need tutors to share their special talents with our scholars. Tutors can help oversee daily study sessions or teach a new talent.
WORKSHOPS
Have a skill, craft, or passion for any topic you’d like to teach and pass on to our next generation? Come and share it with our scholars! (Exp: technology, English, arts and crafts, cooking, music, etc.)
PROFESSIONAL SPEAKERS
Professional and employability speakers are always welcome to come and speak to our scholars. We are very interested and open to expanding the scope of professions our scholars could get involved in to better serve their interests!
EVENING MEALS
Come to our residential houses and engage with our scholars, help prepare a meal, and stay to enjoy it, too!
FACILITY UPKEEP
Help with household fixups, cosmetic improvements, and various other projects in and out of our Residential Homes and the Educational Centers.
Or volunteer your time and talents to help ensure our facilities run smoothly by handling supervising, administrative and clerical work, and maintaining function and order.
BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS
Help us supply treats, decorations, and surprises for our scholars to help them memorably celebrate their birthdays!
EVENT VOLUNTEER
Join our enthusiastic group dedicated to continuing our mission through helping at fundraisers, planning events with our scholars, and networking!
RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES
Bring more culture and integration with the community to our scholars by coordinating activities our scholars could engage in to grow our minds, bodies, and souls while forming relationships within our city!
INTERNSHIP or PRACTICUM
Partner with a scholar or collegian to further their hands-on career knowledge and growth while also enhancing your own business productivity; win, win! Ask us if we have a scholar or collegian who falls within your area of expertise.
